Message	are two places to mount the hood prop, giving you way more room with the other. so, if i were to remove the engine prior to a week or so ago, i would have taken the hood off cause i only recently realized that i could put the prop in a different place to gain clearance. knowing that though, i'd leave the hood off. probably.
